![]() The tracks will get weathered and dusted with weathering pigment to make them appropriately dusty for a Mars-sequence planet to match the rest of my bases. The sides of the tank where the sponsons attach will be done in the same manner as the turret. A layer of Vallejo Chainmail Silver was followed by a very, very light spray of Minitaire Ghost Tint Blue, and on top of that goes Minitaire Ghost Tint Plasma Fluid. Next I went in and airbrushed the body of the tank separately, following my usual Alpha Legion recipe. Now for the brush work on all the details, including the weapon barrels… After that, I mixed in a little Rubber Highlight and added some very subtle highlights to the Tire Black. The turret was done first, using Secret Weapon Miniatures Rubber Highlight as a base color over black primer before a Tire Black layer. This week I finally had a chance to get a bit of paint on this awesome miniature. It’s a vehicle that you’d expect to see revving over a ridge in the terrain at full speed, turret tracking the nearest enemy formation and letting loose a hail of autocannon shots before disappearing again. ![]() I’ve mentioned before that the Sicaran Battle Tank is one of my favorite tank chassis for the Adeptus Astartes. ![]()
